Actor Stephen Baldwin recently spoke at the ‘Rising From The Ashes’ conference, which advocates “Freedom from homosexuality through Jesus Christ.”

The Hollywood star was one of the conference speakers in the event that took place October 31-November 2, in South Carolina.

His speech was the keynote on Saturday evening and talked about “How to stay strong in your beliefs/stand for truth in a gay affirming culture while staying in a position of grace.”

According to its website, the event was intended for everyone who is or desires to help those affected by homosexuality.

Baldwin previously told Huffington Post he saw the event as “an opportunity for people who are unsure…. To have a conversation about [which] direction they want to go.”

He said his message was not “you can pray the gay away” and noted that he has “literally” best friends who are gay.

“(…) They know I’m an evangelical and I know they’re gay, and we love each other and respect each other in that way.”
