Pro-life Group Gears Up for a Fight During Tonight's Debate

Pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List is tired of pro-choice commercials demonizing Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan for their stances against federally-funded abortion.

Determined to reach undecided voters during the domestic policy debate, SBA List will counterattack with an political ad about President Barack Obama's record.

“America’s #1 abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, has been targeting Colorado voters with ads attempting to paint Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan as extremists, but voters deserve to know who is really extreme on the issue of abortion,"said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser.

"President Obama is so committed to abortion that he repeatedly opposed measures to ensure equal treatment and protection for babies who, like Melissa Ohden in our ad, survived a failed abortion. President Obama is far outside the mainstream on this issue.”

The ad, funded by SBA List project Women Speak Out PAC, a project of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), features abortion survivor Ohden. In the ad Ohden tells her story of being born alive despite an abortion. She also details President Obama’s opposition to legislation to provide equal treatment to babies born alive after a failed abortion, according to the SBA List press release.

The ad costed the project $25,000 and will air tonight on Denver, Colorado NBC affliate KUSA.
