"Everybody wants to know why, that's the big question," said Tom Miller, deputy police chief for the northern Nevada town of Sparks, where a shooting took place, according to Reuters.

A seventh-grader shot and killed the math teacher Mike Landsberry and injured two classmates at Sparks Middle School in Nevada Monday.

The facts are still emerging from the Nevada school. Authorities believe the shooter used a Ruger 9mm semiautomatic handgun for the attack. The boy, whose name has not been released, killed himself after the incident.

According to local reports, Landsberry stepped toward the shooter allowing time for other students in the playground area to flee. Landsberry was killed after his heroic actions.

It is still unknown the reason why the boy opened fire. However, many have suggested the shooter suffered from bullying.
