California Pastor Killed in Plane Crash; Final Message Before He Dies

A California pastor Ed Dufresne, a faith healer who said he could cure cancer, was one of the fatal victims of the plan crash in southeast Sedgwick County Friday morning, authorities said.

Dufresne was on his way to deliver one message at a church in Texas. He and his longtime pilot, Mitchell Morgan, the only ones in the plan, died in the crash.

On Thursday night, Dufresne delivered his final message on this Earth at Triumphant Faith Center on South Seneca, according to

The pastor talked about having hope and not fears, basing on Hebrews 11:6: “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

“He had so much joy (Thursday night),” said Jeanette Burlie, an associate pastor at the church, according to the same publication.

In his website biography, Dufresne is described as a bold and compassionate minister for 48 years who has traveled over 11 million air miles carrying the healing anointing he received to this generation.

In 1999, Dufrense said he had a vision of Heaven when God gave him an endowment to kill cancer. "Since then, there have been an increased number of dramatic healings from cancer recorded," according to his bio.
