As soon as Steve Jobs' death hit the headlines many questioned, was he Christian?
No one knows the heart of a man. But Steve Jobs was reported to be a Buddhist.
In the 1970s, prior to founding Apple, Steve Jobs traveled to India in search of spiritual enlightenment. He came back to the United States as a Buddhist.
Jobs was constantly surrounded by the tech industry, including his own innovations, but yet still had Buddhist moments in his life. During his wedding a Zen Buddhist monk presided. Even facing health issues, he considered not having surgery since he didn't have much faith in modern medicine due to his religion, according to Fortune magazine.
He was reported to be easily angered at work using colorful language making Buddhists debating whether he was a good representative of the religion.
Conclusively, although Steve Jobs succeeded as a revolutionary tech industry leader, he did not believe in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
