Justin Bieber won Milestone award at Sunday's Billboard Music Awards ceremony, but his acceptance speech evoked boos and hisses in the audience.
"I'm 19 years old; I think I'm doing a pretty good job. And basically from my heart I really just want to say it should really be about the music, it should be about the craft that I'm making," the young singer said, "This is not a gimmick. I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously and all this other bull should not be spoken." Then Bieber gave thanks to his family, and the most important one-Jesus Christ.
I'm never a fan of Bieber, but I don't understand why the audiences booed anyway. He deserves this award. No one can deny that the young performer is talented and very hard working. Moreover, he never forgets his talent comes from God. That's why he gave thanks to Jesus at the stage.
Bieber's mother is a devout Christian, who gave her son the best advice is keeping faith strong and believing in God and Jesus. When Bieber defended his faith in God, many people don't believe that. In fact, he talked about his faith on many occasions.
As a human being, he might do something wrong, but no one is perfect in this planet, right? All of us are sinners. Only God can judge, but He chooses to forgive us. Is it too good for the mercy receivers being cruel?
As brothers and sisters, it's better to stop booing, but to pray for Bieber, hoping that he can set a positive example for the youth around the world. That might be the reason why God gives the talent to Bieber.
